I've used a kids bow n arrow ($15 or so at Dicks) with fishing line tied to arrow. Lob the arrow over the closest branch, pull up some thicker string or light rope then shake the branch. Worked for a TH edge! Good luck. Others have used slingshots with a fishing weight tied to the fishing line then rope. 50' is a lot for a slingshot. Last one and a bit more costly, PVC pipes slid together with couplers (not glued for disassembly), use the tree branches for support as you add more lengths.
Or the fishing pile as Wedoitall suggests.
