Nice save Nate! Nice flight too, thanks Mike for the info on the smoke pump, I'll be interested if you get some video. What do you guys use for cleanup after your done flying? Ive used 409 with limited success just wondering if there is something that takes it off better.

I've got some video that my 10 year old did... He did a great job for being 10 but i have some editing to do. The pics are from screen shot of the video.

To clean up I use simple green. It's awesome to be able to put in a smoke system for just over $100 for everything minus the actual smoke fluid.

RedwingRC Miracle Smoke Pump $65 - http://www.redwingrc.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_26&products_id=440

Fortitude Twin Muffler Smoke Installation/Completion Kit $25 - http://www.fourtituderc.com/fuel-line-and-accessories.html
Robart Liquid Sky Smoke Fluid 1 Gallon $22 - http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?I=LXZTY6&P=8

@vegasking I thought I would expand on my response to your question. I setup my Futaba 8FG Super so the mix starts with toggle switch sf turned on and the throttle at 25% and above and it maxes out at 20% throw (using end point for the smoke pump) on Channel 8 at full throttle. I used a standard program mix. It's nice to have the graph showing what each servo is doing from the radio with out having to go to the plane and turn it in etc...

I went through the smoke fluid fast but I attribute this to testing on the ground and I forgot the smoke pump line plug so I had to use a screw but it was still leaking pretty bad... good thing I put the vent and fill tube out the bottom! I have a couple extra fuel dots but thought if it leaks it will be a mess so everything is out the bottom of the plane and the pump is attached to my motor box where everything is fuel proofed already. :)

Ok so I didn't intend to actually post the video my 10 year old shot but what the heck. He had fun shooting it and ya the quality sucks but you guys will get the jist! My wife will be shooting from her pro camera next weekend so look for a high res high quality vid next week but for now here ya go!

I will say guys this pump works great and I can't complain! It blows really nice puffy white smoke that can be seen for miles!

I have always liked the Citabria, Champ, Decathlon airplanes... It will be fun to just putter around with and possibly tow or drop parachutes from......

Right on! And you know that Servocity contest we have going on right now would be a great place to design just that sort of thing and possibly win all the items you need for it!

Hey guys I just read a post over at GSN about a terrible situation for a fellow modeler Jeff Sikes ( Siko_flyer )! We are all one community regardless of what sites you prefer or visit and he is a fellow brother in the RC community. I lost my first wife to cancer when she was 35 and I know what he is going through. Our hearts reach out to him and his family. If you are able to help with some kind words of encouragement and or a few dollars fantastic. Here is the post from GSN:

"Hi folks,

This is a sad one, fellow GSN member Jeff Sikes (Siko_Flyer) suffered a tragic loss this past week and has asked if we could raise a few bucks to help out.

His son was killed Thursday and he's seeking donations to help with the burial services.

Jeff is in the process of setting up a paypal account that will transfer directly into the memorial account that has already been established. He's going to post the paypal info as soon as he gets it set up.

We're very sorry to hear of your loss Jeff, hang in there brother.

Bart"
