Are PilotRC planes known for having LG that is too short?

No, just this Yak in particular. It lands real nice and smooth so no big issue for me, bu I won't be able to do harrier landings unless I figure something out. Don't want to go aluminum, wondering if someone makes something that's taller.

Xpress, you can check here http://www.espritmodel.com/landing-gear-carbon-fiber.aspx they have all the dimensions listed. Believe it or not Hobbyking has 100cc Yak gear http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__55063__Carbon_Fiber_Landing_Gear_for_Yak_100CC_Gas.html Or just browse thru all of them http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/RC_PRODUCT_SEARCH.asp?strSearch=carbon+fiber+landing+gear

My buddy just put some graphtec gear on his 50cc pilot yak. I think it stands at least a few inches taller with that gear. The stock gear had one of the legs sheer off on a bad cross-wind landing.

The horror stories of Graphtec are numerous to me, I don't want to order something then have to wait months and months just to get it.

Pilot RC has the gear for the 37.5 Yak that's almost identical dimensions, little bit wider, taller...
