Crashed my Aero-Works 50cc Edge 540 yesterday. :crying: I loved the way that plane flew. This was my first outright crash of one of my 3D birds.
Did a flat spin and the motor quit. Except I didn't know the motor quit because someone was revving and engine next to me on the ground. When I leveled out I was low slow and downwind and it took me a second or two to realize the plane wasn't responding right and then I noticed the prop was stationary. By then I stalled it and put it into the ground at about a 60 degree angle. Cowl is busted, canopy has a crack in it, broke the wing tube. Right wing tip is busted and the wing root pushed into the fuse. It is fixable but I am disappointed in myself.
Flew another plane today and sure enough there was a guy that sat there for hours just running his plane in the pits trying to "tune" it. No lie, this guy probably spent over 2 hours working on a U Can Do trying to get his glow motor to run right. :cursing:
