I would have thought that a paint ball gun would shoot right through the plane, but I guess not good fun though.

One of the other flying wings it was going right through and the kadet if you look at it is has a bunch of holes in it. Being a lt-40 though it has a ply fuse and they couldn’t hurt it. That plane was in great shape but the owner said he needed a reason to strip it and recover it.

This is something I would highly recommend for other clubs to do. It’s the most fun I have seen some of these guys have in a long time. I have suggested we do it again at our other club that is on an army base. We would have to get permission but I think it would be fun to invite the troops out to come have fun as well

Went to the club funfly yesterday and oh what fun we had. Between normal open flying we had some beater planes to fly around and shoot at with paintball guns.

I've always wanted to do that. Dang I bet you had a blast.

Ok boys I am getting frustrated been sitting at home now for almost 2 weeks I think with my nose pressed up against the window hopping for flying weather and it just not coming. Hopefully soon all my planes are ready and so am I.

I got planes ready but I don't think I will ever be ready to face the "Hot Soup" we have for weather right now .

Got to learn to be a "Morning" person again so "wheels up" by 6 am .

I took the old Pilot Edge with the GP61 out yesterday. I hadn't flown it since last September. The first start of the day has never been a picnic with the GP and yesterday was no exception. It takes forever to get it to pop on the choke, but normally after that it starts fairly well. Yesterday it was a total pain, even on the second flight we had to flip the crap out of it. I need to richen the low end, but the transition is so good right now I hate to change it. Once it's running it runs awesome.

My flying buddy Tony looked up while he was taking his turn flipping it and told me that if I ever tell him I'm buying anything but a DA again he's going to kick my a$$.

And that's exactly how we got it started both times. As soon as we gave up, stopped flipping, and bad mouthed it for a while, it started right away after that.
