It must be nice to have a asphalt run way like that it must open up your scope to a lot of planes. We only have grass and those small wheels and retracts will be dead in no time. You won’t even get off the field. Like the new jet looks like a lot of fun.

This plane is actually grass field rated. I took off from the grass with no problem and it was cut to 3"! Did not get a chance to fly it again as my buddy had only one bat for me . I will have some very soon. Not the best day to Maiden. Cross wind 5-10 at our backs. The Aura did great though helping the wings stay level. Got some fine tuning to do on elevator trim and flap/ele mix I have programmed in to the Aura .

Maidened my Defiant 28 today. I had WAY WAY WAY too much on the control throws. It also needed a very large amount of up elevator to stay level. Once I have it dialed in, I think it will be a hoot! It is very quick and very durable.

Packed the car went to the flying field got there and the temperature was 91 degrees F. looked around nobody else. With minutes I was hot and said this is nuts and went home.
And this was at 9.30 in the morning.

It's been pretty awful around here lately that's for sure. I usually go even on the hot days, but when the forecast says 90's by mid morning I'm out. The wind is pretty bad today here too.

Well aside from weird south winds form the Hurricane in the gulf, it was a great weekend. Both the 105 and 115 Lasers got flown, and I even managed to get the parts I needed to run the old XTM Mammoth

This engine is really weird, it screams on power but there's hardly any smoke coming out. If I richen it up it'll just fall on its face, guess it runs a bit more efficient than other engines. Someone also played with the 2 speed trans which is keeping it from shifting into 2nd, guess I'll need to pull it all apart Otherwise she runs fantastic and breaks all 4 tires loose with ease. I was thinking of slapping a monster .28 in it but the .25 in it now is more than enough power- maybe if I ever kill it..
