Great day yesterday at the field, 72f, winds light and variable, not a cloud in the sky. Flew four routine sets on the Super Cub, each set takes about 10 minutes. The grass is growing like crazy with the rain we had and extra CO2 in the air! And it was cut on Friday, I could barely see the 5 5/8" wheels. Another fellow was trying to take off a small EDF jet and wasn't having much success, ended up taking off in the parking area.

Sorry no pictures but I had my best flying day of the year, no wind blue sky and the temperature was perfect. Six flights and all were perfect.

5 flights today with afternoon winds picking up right down the runway. Sounds great but airspeed becomes ground speed as soon as you touch down. Too slow on one landing and I ran out of airspeed, a couple of perfect landings but the roll outs were very long, last landing was too fast and I ended up over the side edge of the runway, minor elevator damage but will repair it quickly…..
