Very cool edit brother. And nice flying. You're a lot braver than me flying close to that water. I'd end up going for a swim for sure! :D

I have been swimming in the pond once before. Have flown my UMX timber on floats off of it a few times though. For the most part I kept my dlg above dry land.

Video my coworker put together for me of my Flitz.

Awesome! Fun to see what you do from another point of view. Got me itching to get my Flitz2 up. Just been mapping out the pod for a layout and got a couple battery options in the mail to see what I'll end up with.

If you haven't yet, I found this lecture from Joe Wurts to be very educational. He has a few more lectures on thermal flying, but this one kindof bring them all together.

Got the truck loaded up for the event in Eureka Missouri this weekend. Probably do some night flying there tomorrow after work.

I will try to watch that at some point as I hadn't seen it before. I have been having a blast flying this new 2.4m foam glider I got. It's heavy as hell but still thermals so nice. Got a 26 minute flight yesterday on one battery and in total I had maybe a minute of run time on the motor, maybe a little more.

Finally had the Vertigo flying! Only three flights so far but liking how it fly's. I have never had a plane this size as light as it is. Really feel the difference, in flight it does everything very easily at half throttle, even in landing it is so very controllable.
I'm flying it with the RCGF 70cc motor and still have not had to touch the needles. I can feel it that soon I will have to lean it in a touch as it breaks in. It still idles at 1000 RPM! I can see it going down to 900 once it breaks in.
Also using the Frsky's new X20S which also feels great in my hands and liking the feel of the sticks! I found the new operating system of ETHOS just as capable as open TX. I'm flying this plane with a archer R8 pro with a redundant archer M+ and a aura gyro. An AT-1V for head temps and RPM.

Sounds like a big success, nice size plane and the motor is doing its thing 900 rpm is pretty low for our engines. They must have done something right.
Like the colour scheme that must have taken some time nice job, just have park my plane a little further down the line.

Yes, they must. I have heard from another owner of the same motor and he had the results as I have. I do not believe they are as high in the RPM's as a GP 76 or DA 70 but for my style of flying I don't need the best "numbers".

The only thing that is important is low maintenance and reliable , when get to the field it starts ever time. Hate working on my plane at the field, and if I have to give up some rpm or weight no problem.

I am the same. I have seen people work on their radios or their planes at the field and because they were so wrapped up in their minds they forget things like wing bolts or plugging in their ailerons.

Weather has been terrible. We had the second wettest May on record. Already had a few inches of rain in June...

Finally got to maiden my Ahi, winds were light and just a few feet in altitude gains but it flew great!8D42B7D9-F636-48A9-BD6F-43F0D4658C99.jpeg

had a flying buddy join me with his arm soar deviant. Thing flew extremely well!
