Got to fly a few gliders yesterday. Falcon, Flitz2, and the Auri. My buddy was flying the other Auri and Alpha. All of the gliders found lift, the flitz2 got to see 815’ AGL. Before I got worried and put some flaps in, nosed down, and spiraled back down. As it was going up around 500’ it climbed super fast, and since there were no clouds I imagine the inversion layer was essentially unlimited. Way cool. My buddy had the alpha join me (lower) and we had eagles and a raven bombing over to ride the free elevator. Super duper outing.

Thanks! The falcon is from Ukraine through HQ composites, Flitz2 is from Lithuania , and the Auri is from Russia. They all do beautiful artwork on their models! Nikolai Gorban is back at production in his shop in Ukraine which is good to hear. I just so happen to run across the Flitzebogen (Flitz) manufacture history and found it a good read and was also intrigued that oleg golidov had some design input (designed the falcon as well). Oleg is a good guy and have purchased the Falocn and Flitz2 through him.

Been holding back on you guys. Purchased a used 2.5m F5J glider called the “JOY” and after changing a few things and maidened it and have about an hour of flight time since then. Pretty neat glider and by purchasing it directly from the maker Nikolai at HQ Composites in Ukraine I kinda feel like I’m doing my part in helping those guys out right now. Last I heard his building is 100m from the active war zone.
My buddy joined me with his new 3.6m Vector from Art Hobby - gorgeous glider!!!

It's been fun for sure. Sadly it has to sit for a few days now. Went back out yesterday and got 3 flights in. I had noticed the day before the rudder servo had developed some slop but figured I would keep flying. 3rd flight yesterday I landed and when the plane came to a stop the rudder was bouncing around on its own. Decided that was enough. Now instead of the like 1/8-3/16 of play the rudder had its over a 1/2" of slop and a clicking noise so I'm pretty sure its a stripped gear not slop.

Maybe I should stop treating the rudder like its a pogo stick.
