Shut the front door! I think you all get it in short MASSIVE dumps. Ours tends to be constant light rain with some intensity here and there. People are leaving here because of the lack of days without rain this summer.
Annual average climate data suggests you get 221 days of sun, Mike gets 192 days of sun, and I get a whopping 88... how sad. I basically wear a snorkel with flippers everywhere I go LOL

LOL! Sortof! It's not as bad in Southeast Alaska as it is up in the interior. I livved in Fairbanks for a year and watched the sun peak over the hill and set.

Well boys looks like flying season is coming to an end, hopefully we still have the odd day of nice weather but I can start cleaning up the planes for winter. We have had frost a couple of times during the night. It is also only a couple of degrees above freezing, and I do not enjoy flying in the cold.

I'm not throwing in the towel until November! hold fast! It ain't over until the snowblower comes out of hibernation and even then... I'm going to sneak out.

Summer flying is almost over but I will be preparing my winter plane on skies for winter. But it needs to be almost no wind and and a nice blue sky. Some of my most enjoyable flying, it does not happen to often but when it does it is great.

Had to warm up my fingers between flights... slight breeze from the glacier. Yuk!

I have say done the same thing. And your hands suffer more with age. One of the reasons wind in the winter is a killer. I have winter radio glove it works ok but difficult to get the plane going and then gat the glove on while the plane is running. But it does work.

Ok this is frustrating the weather is great good enough to go flying, but we are in a strict lockdown. As of Monday we are allowed out for groceries and medical reasons other than that stay at home. Pain in the ????

That's a bummer. Hopefully things will lighten up soon. If it makes you feel any better it's snowing here................. yesterday it was gusting 40mph and snowing. It's like winter is angry...keeps stepping in front of spring and saying "AND ONE MORE THING!!" LOL Time to go away winter.

Don’t get me wrong but maybe that is easier to tolerate, you just can’t go flying because some twit is saying I have sit in at home . And worst of all nobody knows what is going on.
