Not usually here in Kansas. We had a really bad ice storm back in 2006 was a lot worse than now, but we haven't had any since than till now.

When I was a kid we had one once that was several inches of snow followed immediately by freezing rain. We were ice skating in the yard. How we all didn't kill ourselves sled riding on that I'll never know.

I also remember an ice storm on New Years Eve in 1979 I think it was. The power was out at my house for days which was only a little longer than my hangover lasted.

First real winter here in years. Ice, snow then mud and chinook winds. Fogged in this morning, I haven't been out in weeks.

We have had one of coldest winter in twenty years with about 35 cm of snow that has stayed, hope it gets better some for your region

Well it is not getting any better still just above freezing or at freezing rain fog and more rain, never seen this before feels like I am in England. And on top that we had the driest summer for the last 100 years. At this time off the year it should be 20 degrees F and at least 18 inches of snow on the ground.
