Not in the shop but related. Spent the day going through the generators, they are working like new. Also dug the micro fridge out, cleaned it up inside and out, and it is working good. Installed some needed hangers in the box trailer for extension cords, dc charge cord, and installed some LED lighting. This is all in prep for Nall, I decided I would ruff it this time and not take the toy hauler. It should actually be easier not having to load and unload the toy hauler as well as staying down at the line.
All the gas cans are full and mixed for their respective device's, generator and airplane. Tomorrow I will start going through the airframes checking everything and get a flight or two on each. Hopefully by the end of the week everything will be tested, ready, and loaded for heading north.

Today I did some desperately needed maintenance. The intake ram on the Lazer's 140 came off last time out. It is only a pressed fitting so after reinserting it I added some retaining springs, should do the trick. Then I moved on to the Eagle's dolly, all the framework was getting pretty ruff so I rebuilt it. Believe it or not these two simple task took nearly 10 hours to complete, getting slow in the old age I guess.
Tomorrow hope to get some flights in on the Lazer.

I approve of that big time. What's gonna power it? What wheels ya gonna put on it? What color is it gonna be? Oh so many questions.
Thanks. This was actually my mustang from high school that I sold 30± years ago and recently bought back. It is worse for wear. Restomod is probably more accurate. 302 with RV cam, plenty of torque, but it won't breath as this is my son's car. T5 tranny (converting from auto to manual - less opportunity to drive and text ;)). Updated modern front suspension with adjustable coil overs. 4 wheel disk. Have to swap out the rear end anyway as this was originally a six cylinder (170 not 200, unbeknownst to me when I had it) so I would rather buy disk than drum. Not sure on the wheel styling yet, but sizewise thinking 17x7 front and 17x8 rear. Will include A/C as well. My son is teetering between a midnight blue or gun metal grey. Plenty of time to make those decisions as he will only be 14 in October. Trying to push through all the body work as it is difficult to keep kids engaged. Installing mechanical equipment is much more fun!

So this evening I pulled the Ultimate out to have a looksee and charge for tomorrow. Whilst everything looked good initially I soon realized I left the batteries plugged in. One was on the bottom of the voltage but ok, the other did not register anything. I pulled that battery and commenced to bringing it back to life. It has been three hours now but it is back and on it's final charge.

Never heard of a RV cam before so had to look it up. Should still perform well and still have a decent lope to it when at idle. Like the idea with the front suspension and is the way I would go as well. T5 is a tough little tranny and with a good short throw shifter on it the shift slick as glass unlike the Tremec TKO500 I had in my 89 coupe. Tough as hell and never a problem getting it into gear even when power shifting just never had a smooth feel to it. four wheel disc is perfect. While I do really like the restomod look on the older mustangs I'm a sucker for a good ole set of Magnum 500's when it comes to wheels. There is a company my dad got modern 17x8 and 17x10 magnum 500's for the 04 Mach 1 they used to have that looked just as good but bigger and made of billet aluminum. Keep up posted of the progress.
