I was flying a few weeks ago as a guest in Alliance Oh. One of the fellows there was test flying a plane for another fellow, as he went through the switch assignment, he made a comment about the switch selection for the flaps and ignition. He thought it was silly to have the flaps and ignition next to each other, I have been doing it that way since 2014! Never bother me and never shut the plane off by accident. At any rate since then I think about ignition switch while deploying the flaps. I searched and found a three position switch with a locking mechanism, about $10 each. The new switch is a DPDT, I paralleled the contacts for redundancy and installed. The install below is my new spare radio, the flap is the first switch on the left and the ignition right next to it with the red tip..
