Since me and wheel pants don't really get along. Also the fact that I mostly fly off grass.....The puny 3" stock wheels on the Stinson had to go. So today I installed a set of 4.5" Sullivan Skylites. Finished them off with a set of red Secraft wheel stops.

Adapted one of the Terryscustom's famous stands to fit the Staggerwing, then worked on the internals.

This is my first gasser, and I'm slowly getting there. Obviously GSN is a great place to learn!

Now that I have a 40% Extra 330LX and a 43% Edge 540 I had to make some adjustments to my trailer. I have to keep it so I can haul my mower in it as well as haul both planes so, off to the garage I went. The end result is exactly how I envisioned it, which doesn't normally happen for me. I did have to move the back leg forward about 8 inches to clear the stab but in the end it all works out.

Nah. It's just now getting broke in!

LOL I did consider leaving it in the air with it broke see how long before it came all the way off as it was still controllable but decided to let it live another day.

Had to move the bench forward so the angle wasn't as sharp clearing the rudder. The wheel pants still drag a touch but nowhere near what they would have if I han't moved the bench forward

It was nice seeing both planes in the trailer
