Covering complete. Now on to installing hinges. Anyone know where to get music wire in 4' lengths?

I decided to spend some time outside yesterday before it gets to cold and assemble my scratch build project so I could check out the scheme. I haven't had it together since I painted the wings. While I was at it I put the Hangar 9 Extra 300X together for the first time to see how everything fit.

Worked on setting up the Jeti cb200 for the Red 330lx and did some experimenting with led's. Man do I like the Jeti system :) Oh yea, also setup the rudder, choke and throttle servos :) Getting closer :)

So yall may have seen my videos of this flying yesterday in the I'm going out flying thread but figured I would post some pics over here of the plane coming together and some basic specs. All built up surfaces with a sheeted foam fuse.
81" wingspan
76" length from tip of rudder to tip of prop shaft
1385 sq in of wing area
DLE 55 on the nose
Target weight was 15 lbs, Not sure how I did it but final weight without fuel came in at 13.4lbs

Needless to say its a freaking rocket ship out of a hover.

You could have done a conventional built up fuse and hit your target weight. 15lb is still super light for a 55cc though, I wanna see a video!

Look in the I'm going out flying thread I have two videos posted there. Reason I went with sheeted foam fuse is pretty much any slab I have seen over 20cc size and even some of the 20cc ones have hella tail twist when rolling. Just really no way to stiffen up a built up surface enough when there is that much area trying to penetrate the air. Watch the videos though and tell me what you think. It was extremely windy the day I maidened it so I wont know for a while yet exactly how well it will fly but first impressions are I like it more than anything else in my hanger right now after only two flights.
