I am betting some of you out there would know more about this plane than I. And so I may be turning to you for input. Also, I was given a brand new in the box DLE 55. Never been out of the box. Yes!! And along with that, I very nice wrap around Pitts style muffler. And if that was not enough, he also threw in the MZ24 that my son sold him last fall. So the plane, the DLE 55, the muffler and the radio. So Oh happy day. LOL.

And something else to be excited about. My little p.o.f. Twisted Hobbies Edge is now flight ready. Wee haa!!! Now if I could just get a little decent weather to go take of the Edge....(get it? Edge).... I am sure I would feel much better.

That's odd. I've had PDFs without any problems. I do always add a circle on the sheet in a certain size so I can check the accuracy of the print.

There is a freeware program called cutewriter that acts like a printer but outputs as a PDF file. I use that a lot, just make sure it's set to full size and maintain aspect ratio.

AutoCAD is funny like that. If you just go a click export to pdf it’s going to convert it to something on 8-1/2x11 and it’s only gonna convert what is currently shown on the layout. So if you are zoomed in on the motor mount area when converting that’s all that will go through. It’s a multi step process to get it to work right and hopefully I get a little time first thing this morning when I get to work to either take pics as I go through the process or create a short video on what has to be done.

Ok it’s red then it is ok the rest of the gang won’t notice. The plane does look good looking forward to your flight report.

I was able to negotiate my 66 Mustang back from the guy I sold it to many years ago. It’s been sitting in a barn for 20+years. It’s pretty thrashed but going to do a restomod on it. Have to say, have never seen my son so enthused! He has been reading the restoration books and translating that to tearing it apart. I did a minor restoration on it in 1989 (so its coming back to me o_O) haha. Pretty proud dad that my son is wanting to work with his hands and is learning some great life skills! Now if I could only translate that to an RC plane or two, hehe.

Make the best of it it will be time we’ll spent and you remember it for the rest of your life. Nice to have son that does more than just play with an IPhone.

I have just gone through a set of my plans and highlighted the steps to go through. I plan to start a new thread in a little bit dedicated to CAD work so we can keep all these things in one place. I will post all the steps there and explain what I was doing. Also got your plans. I will them get done as well unless you want a take a stab at it first following the steps I will post.

Will you kind enough to do the drawings yo u have and then I will try on a copy I have to see if I end up with the same results thanks. Also a good idea for AutoCAD site so see can all participate and learn and share.

Kinda bittersweet but I had to let it go. Ultimate hangar queen. Carl Goldberg .60-90 size 64” span kit Super Chipmunk. I covered it in the joe “fang” maroney color scheme. It’s been sitting in my shop for maybe 9 years. The sad thing is that it’s on its third engine and never flown. Taken it to the field a few times and something always came up. The new owner is going to convert it to electric. It’s 5.5lbs with just the servos installed. I told him he could buy it from me on one condition.... that I could fly it at least once. So I’m happy!!!
