Give it a shot Snoopy1

Regards,

Thank you for your help but I need SOCKET HEAD CAP SCREWS, M6 by 25mm long it can be longer but not shorter I can always cut it to length. The problem is the head of the screw has to go down a tube to lock into the wing, and then tighten it down.

As soon as the weather breaks I'm outside every evening. The cooler evenings require some warmth so i use a little patio wood burner a lot. Included in tonight's wood was a prop that was damaged last year in a prop strike. I paid for it, might as well use it.

Try RTL fasteners .... www.rtlfasteners.com

I have used them for years and they always had what I needed.

They have an M6x50mm nylon slotted. The hex head socket cap comes in 1/4"- 20 x 2" or SAE sizes.

Snoopy I believe M6 is about the same size as 1/4-20. I have a ton of them. They are nylon and the head is the knurled thumbscrew style so you can run them down pretty tight with your fingers. If you would like some I can send you a handful along with the appropriate blind nuts.

Thanks @BalsaDust for the offer I have 1/4-20 nylon screws but the wings I am going to use are purchased and have M6 built into the wing and I can not get them out without doing quite some damage to the wing. And the way I have built the additional amount of wing to the fuselage to get the required WCL this Has forced me to run a tube from the fuselage to the end of the additional wing. I will then slide the M6 socket head screw down the tube and then slide the Allen key down the tube to tighten it to the wing.

Ok a picture is worth a thousand words. This what I am dealing with. First trying to keep the plane light and do not want to install M6- 25mm long steel screws, nylon is preferred and if not available then aluminum.

This picture shows the tube in the plane. This were the screw is inserted to bolt to the wing.

This shows the made Allen wrench that fits the width of the fuselage and fits down the tube to tighten the Allen head screw.

This showed the tube that was made to fit in to the fuselage and extend out of the wing extension

This is the Allen wrench that was made to fit the fuselage and be able to tighten the Allen head screw down the tube.

thank you for that just placed the order should be receiving it by the end of May which is fine by me, thanks again saved me from installing heavy steel bolts in the plane after I did everything I could and then some to keep it as light as possible. Right now I am weighing up everything to see what the total weight will be. It will be everything except the covering. If somebody does know what plastic covering does weigh per sq ft then we will be able get the true final weight.
