Yes, you can get a FrSky to work with Spektrum. If you look on Flitetest's website, there is a forum that talks about a TX module for it or there is another way as well. That's the thing with FrSky, it is super versatile.

Thanks for help I have been looking info the radio it sure is a different animal. What I am trying to understand is that the radio comes with an operating system that is not very good and full of bugs. To make the radio operate properly you need to clean out the existing operating system and load a new one called TX I believe, that does not make sense why does the radio not come with it from the get go. Have to say it does look very interesting. Does anybody know what the update time is for all the channels.

Well this is the first time it has been assembled and everything went well it all went together and with no misalignments. Did it to check to see how the balance looked and if it was way off, well it is close just moving my fingers back and fourth 1/2 inch it balanced. That is good which means it can be balanced with in the cockpit area.
Yes I know the colour on the stabilizer and elevators look way off and they are but it is going say like this for the meantime. Just have to buy some more covering for the fuselage and cover the plane and then install the radio. Getting closer slowly.

As far as I know the stock operating system is fine just everyone prefers OpenTX. Easy to share files with people via email. I will say its a lot to take in to learn and what has been most helpful for me was someone living close by that already understood it that was able to help walk me through it.

Yes I have to agree with you unfortunately I have nobody near me that I can get support from and seeing I am mechanically inclined and educated. I would not attempt to wipe a radio clean and reprogram it and risk some expensive planes. Pity if I was still working would have been able to buy the radio give it to one of the IT guys and ask him to do it for me but that luxury is not available to me anymore.

This guy walks you right through it no problem. I can help via forums and email with most things other than the telemetry as I haven’t figured any of that stuff out yet.
