I do wonder if something was lost in translation as Loctite 222 is a thread locker, to thin to act as a caulking type sealant.
After speaking with you and getting a better description of what you have if it were me I'd use Permatex #2.
Have the same thoughts, but I have never had Loctite 222 Purple in my hands. Have a bottle on order will see what it is like. Have red, blue and green but never purple. Will have to wait till Aircraft international gets back from vacation to get my parts.

Seems it's rated for 500F and not recommended for plastics or high oxygen environments, and is a low strength thread-locker. Im sure 3W testing has used it for this application and is fine though.

I would have to venture they thought he was talking about the fasteners, not the flange.
This why it is so difficult buying and trying to get technical info from a country that does not speak English. You are always second guessing what they said or trying to explain.
Seeing I have to wait for aircraft international to open up again I can ask the question again.
