Mike I say hold on to all of those rocks. Once the runway is complete you can make a nice natural stone firepit to hang out around with friends for some evening flying.

Dropped the 3W and installing the da120 today.......

Away from the hobby for a week or 2. Is it right thrust washers that I need to add? I pulled the 3W without paying attention to it's original setup.

Most planes need right thrust. I always build 3~4 degrees in.

Since my first project went so good, I decided to try another. Made my first morse taper 2 blank. I had a couple old drill chucks lying around and I wanted to use them, so I made the mt2 blank for the chucks. I already had a drill chuck for my tailstock, but it's larger than I thought it would be. This gives me more options. I started out doing things backwards, so I had to use the miter gage on the cross slide to get the right angle. I started out about 1.5* and ended up just shy of 2*. I think it turned out good, for my first try.
