Added a new tool to my toolbox, a contour gauge to help get the right shapes for my first baffling job.

a 3W 106 TOC? can you explain a little what the "notorious c-clip breaking" problem is?
Some of the earlier 3W engines, for whatever reason, would break the c-clips that hold the piston pins in place. If you were lucky, the piece would just go out the exhaust, but most of the time it would tear up the cylinder because the metal they are made of is much harder than the cylinders and pistons. Normally you would only lose one cylinder, BUT I was one of the "lucky" ones and somehow it traveled to the other side and took out the bottom of the cylinder.

Turns out Gerhard had a couple of CS piston/cylinder pairs that were used and he gave me a great deal on them, so I will have a 106 CS by the end of today :)

The funny thing is one of the cylinders is from a QS and one is from a CS, so I will have apples and oranges under the hood. The QS is Candy Red and the CS is Candy Orange in color, hence apples and oranges.
