this guy came up to me and was asking me all questions:" where i was from, what do i do, etc....", then, he told me or mentioned something to me, which he stated at least 4 times in a time period of 2 weeks that i was there. he told me: "there sure are a lot of people joining this club...." that was the clue to me that he did not want me there.

Come to a meeting and pay the club dues. Second, if anyone acted like a immature little boy like the guy that came running up whining that if this Jason flies he's not flying, he would get told to grow up...
We are also lucky enough to have most of the other area clubs are part of a group called the Friends of Flight, and we work together and most of us are friends. We also have a picnic/fly-in that rotates fields every year.
We have our club politics, and there are members that don't care for other members but it really seems like those in my club realize this is a hobby and we are here to have fun and leave the BS at home..
I guess short version of what I'm saying is its videos like this that make you appreciate what you got!!!
Indeed! Too short for these kinda things. Well! Me, part of no club. Huge runway and I, most of the time are alone. Occasionally we get visited by some onlookers. My case is every time one or two originating members don't get their way they are sure to (or try to) ruin the fun for all others at any cost. At one point I seriously debated getting out of the hobby. I came to my senses and realized that was not the answer to the problem.
