Unbelievable....:oblong: At the end of Day 2 I'd still be thinking about how to complicate Day 1 :(:(:(

Yeah Earle...same here....

I am so tempted to try to build this or the 119" Hyperlight but I do not have a whole lot of experience. I think I might end up with a heavy out of square plane.

Thanks

That is the beauty of this plane. You have to try to mess it up. The fuse just falls together.

After the motor box assy. As lon as that is square, all you need for a tool is a good flat surface and a square to get that started, the rest of the fuse is made to fit perfectly in junction! You can't get it out of square without trying too! Just a couple quick checks before you glue it and your good!

Your skills are amazing.
Is that the servo wire tube at 21 sec on video number 4
Nope, wing tube. Two more videos loading up now and in the second one you can see the wire chase being cut. This one is nearly impossible to get to not get square. Assemble F1 and engine box sides, then tank tray / fuse bottom, then bottom engine box and firewall, then top engine box. Do that on a flat surface with care the rest falls together. Tyler's came out great and is perfectly straight, level and square with no serious effort or complicated tools.

OK kids, one half day and two fairly long days and we have a complete Viper except for canopy shell, some hinge adjustments and final sanding. Ready for paint and covering!!

We spent approximately 31 hours with two of us over three days plus my few hours of pre-assembly on the engine box front. The build order was adjusted slightly to keep things rolling with no waiting for glue to dry and no "head scratching" for what to keep us busy. Super cool that we did this.....but it is a little fast. I do recommend at least two minutes between processes to gather your thoughts:D

Before we sent Tyler out on his way home we did core his belly pan to save a couple of ounces and took time for a couple of glamour shots of the three Vipers. Didn't even think to have Eric bring his we could have had four of the five I've built all together. But, that will be more fun at the field after Tyler has his covered anyway!
