Hi

Is Limitless Aero shutting down?

I cannot get on their site for the last week or so, looking to get some info on GP engines and not sure who else sells them.

I've contacted another distributor for GP, Limitless hasn't been on here since Feb so not sure whats up :(

It is a tough industry to be in

Valley View is out of the GP business. Good product but when the dealers all started getting nasty the best thing to do was step back and let them all hash it out. I'd own a 61 and 123 again but have to reinforce every joint I could reach in the fuse and wings are suffer the consequences (again...)

Are you trying to say the may shake a bit?

I was under the impression they were one of the smoother options out there, if personal experience is they are shakers then its a no go from me, this is a large scale and I need a smooth engine that isn't a twin.

Was able to maiden my Extra with the GP123 today. Four flights total; just over 1/2 gallon.

The engine was flawless (same for the EF 104" Extra) over the four flights. Very easy starting, low idle is smooth with very little shake to the airframe (guessing around 1400rpm) and transition to mid and full throttle is very smooth. There is a slight burble through the mid range at this point but I know the engine is slightly rich on the L and H needles right now. Using the stock GP123 mufflers for the time being.

I'm watching my fuel usage pretty close at this point, first flight was 1.7 oz per minute. The last flight of the day the engine used 1.3 oz per minute. Lots of exhaust soot on the bottom of the plane after the first flight and the muffler down tubes were "wet." There was a noticeable reduction of soot after the fourth flight and the down tubes were much cleaner. I'd say the rings are starting to seat-in nicely.

This is a strong engine already. If GP already doesn't have it, I think this brand will develop a strong and loyal following with a solid reputation regarding performance.

Once the engine has a gallon thru it I'll get some thrust and rpm numbers with the Falcon 28X10 prop.

As for Kole and Limitless Aero, his site is back up. His focus right now is school but he will be selling the MVVS line of engines.

Looks like their new website is up and running and likely currently still being built as the only thing currently listed are MVVS engines.

Kole is pretty much out of the GP business. That is why I always wait for some time before buying any new brand of motor. My friend bought one of their 61 motors and it shook so bad he sent it back and got a refund. He and myself have pretty much stuck to DLE and I have several EME newer version of their 35 and 70 twin . No problems so far
