Help! What size tank for 50cc Yak54

I like 'em "BIG"!
I also went with the TDRC tank I also used one in my Edge. I really like them. I didn't replace the inner lines but I did add a short lengh of hard tubing and put felt clunks in both. I use TDRCs red fuel tubing just because I can't stand yellow haha. I found a good deal on the plane just a few minor things to fix I had my first go at repairing a canopy... I removed the canopy and then the pilot figure, replaced the foam cockpit floor and did my best to clean up the plastic cockpit. Letting everything dry for a couple days then I'll glue the canopy back on.
Cool.... Looking forward to seeing more photos of your accomplishments. Keep 'em coming.

I'm looking to replace the aluminum landing gear with a carbon set, this is an older airframe, a Aviation Models yak. There are no specific parts availible that I can find. Would I be able to use a generic set or a set for another 30% model?

I would think any 30-33% yak gear would work. Here's a shot in the dark for you. Get hold of Steve at Chief Aircraft (Oregon). Surprising as it may be, he still has like 51 c.f. landing gear for my SD 260. He may have something to fit. Aviation should be spot on with Thunder Tiger, TOC, SD.

Right on I'll give that a shot! I appreciate the help.

I'm partial to WWRC tanks.

They come RTG assembled with Viton line and utilize as brass/ceramic filter clunk. When you pull the fuel out of the tank the clunk does a great job of knocking down air bubbles and emptying every last drop out of the tank.
Agreed. I build my own tanks and I would definitely not use Tygon when you can get Viton. Sure it is pricey, but for the value it simply hard to beat. It is far superior in every way. I took a tank apart some months back after about five years of use just for the total heck of it and the Viton line was as it was the day it was put in the tank. I put it right back in service.

No doubt, just makes sure you get the correct Viton. The stuff from PSP is awesome. The Durometer rating is the key. 60 or so is good, but 75 is to hard and can split at the fittings.
Jetpainter is correct I can testify first hand spring of last year I pranged I 50cc decathlon because of Viton tubing in the tank ran down the runway and as soon as pulled up the engine died and that was it the tubing had split of nipple in the tank so make sure you have the correct stuff.
