I have looked and read until my eye's are blurry, I can not find the craft store foam guy's are using for baffling. I think someone said it can be found at JoAnn's fabric, I need some for my Yak.
So what kind is it????

That is what I was looking for, I knew someone did it but could not remember whom or where. Thank you!

Just saying, i won't be placing foam close to the cylinder that can reach 200-280F .
I personal hand fitted 3/32 aircraft plywood baffles around my cylinders , not chance of combustion there:too-cool:

The Creative Foam works fine and much much lighter than plywood. Not to mention a lot easier to work with. Don't be afraid to give it a try.

I have purchased Creatology™ Foam Sheet, 12" x 18" at Michaels. It comes in several thickness what I use most is about 5mm. Check their website http://www.michaels.com/
I have also purchased a similar product at Hobby Lobby.
JoAnn sells, Darice Foamies Foam Sheets. I do not know anything about that product.
I would not be too concerned about it coming in contact with the engines cooling fins but would avoid the muffler or pipes. I've used it on several models and it works very well

Remember, Ol' Bearly sez,
"A bad day at the flying field is better
than a good day on a golf course!"
and
"If it an't round its square,
FLY A YAK!"

Hope to see you at the flying field soon,

The above mentioned Creatology foam is where I ended up, 9"x12"x6mm. It worked real well and was easy to do.
