I flew a friend's 4 star 40 last year. I was surprised by how much fun it was.
I had a blast with mine....it was the last glow plane in my fleet, flew the snot out of it!!! I told myself this is your last glow plane, once it crashes, glow is done.
Soooo I was doing full power rudder drags one day and the grass decided to grab hold real hard on one pass, it slammed into the ground, ripped the tail off, smashed the canopy and the engine went flying off....after it eject all those parts, it went back up into the air about 8 feet, righted itself and plopped back on the ground on the gear.
I never laughed so hard in my life, all the guys at the field were astonished by what just happened. That would have been a great video!!!
I told one of the younger members to go out and grab your new plane, I just want the receiver out of it. He texted me about 1.5 days later and said it was ready to fly again.
