Which 60" to buy!?!?

First, I have not had a chance to fly the 60" Laser, but I do like my 48s. I'm sure the big one will be a dream to fly too.

Having recently spent all my hobby money in the hospital, I'm going to have to wait until the next production run to get 60" Laser. I have no equipment for one anyway and I certainly don't want to take my 64" MXS apart.

However, the wait won't be so bad because I honestly cannot imagine a 60" airframe that could possibly be any better than the MXS. Mine is over a year old now, which is an old airplane for me. I've heard the big Laser is even better but I can't wrap my mind around that just yet. The MXS is too damm good for me to believe anything could be better until I actually have my own Laser

I'll get one soon, I promise, but for now I'm happy enough having a yellow MXS that flies perfect. I fly it both with and without the racing tips and I like it both ways. It's the best flying plane I have ever owned, though admittedly the 48s are still a bit more practical for my small car, house and budget.

This is going to pale in comparison to Daniel's awesome flight, but it is an indication of what the average guy can do with an Extreme Flight plane. You will have to turn the sound up on this to get the full effect.

one of the main reasons that I bought the Laser, is to see if its actually better than the MXS. Its also hard for me to believe that is gonna be better than the MXS. Unfortunately I wont get to fly mine till my Tx comes back from getting serviced.

I don't post here all that often because I stay pretty busy with the other forum, building, blogging flying and shooting video. It's also auto racing season and I participate on those forums too. Wifey demands a certain amount of attention as well, so time gets short.

This participants on this forum also seem to post more about larger planes, which kind of leaves me out a little because for now I can't do anything larger than a 60". Once I hit the powerball though, things are gonna be different.

wasn't for Doc's blogs and Scott Stoops book I may have gave up on flying 3d as soon as I got into it. very informative and helpful.

I'm a bit lost without Scott without around too, but at least I still have the book. I had a lot of good help when I first started, and Scott was a big part of that. Hopefully we will see him again down the road.

Wow, thanks for all the help guys. Got a bit interesting there ha.

So, I think I want an extreme flight aircrafts Laser, MXS or Edge. If everyone loves the MXS and Laser it's hard to fight that. I really like the red white and blue MXS and the red Laser. Both Edges are cool too.

Now I guess my next question is what electronics do you get for you 60" planes? Do you guys recommend getting the power combo with the plane or do you buy separately? I don't know anything about electronics for this size plane so the more help the better.

Snow dog! Thanks for the invite! I'd love to visit your field! Only problem is I live a couple blocks away from Wrigley Field and I don't own a car so getting to that field is near impossible. I really appreciate the warm welcome though. Thanks!

Matt I voted in your poll for the 60" Edge 540. I recently crashed mine and I am replacing it with the 60" Laser but the 60" Laser is too new. The 60" Edge is flat out an amazing plane. SO much fun to fly and so tolerant of the learning process. I have enjoyed a lot of planes in my day but the Edge is amazing.

I think an edge is a good safe choice. Everybody should have one
