Gene Cope is hosting an aerotow event at Glessner's Airfield this coming June 5, 6, 7. The airfield produces great lift and the pilots are superb bunch. Here are the GPS coordinates to the airfield. Check it out on Google Maps.

The Yakima Aerotow was held in clear skies, great lift and hot. We had 17 registered pilots including 4 tug pilots for this years event. Shade was at a premium in the 93 degree heat. Video was captured on few tows from the tugs point of view and one sailplane flight on Sunday. Unfortunately for me that when 5 sailplanes, including the other tug pilots, were in the same thermal between 1500 and 3000 ft rel. alt. just to the west of the field I had to sit it out in shade. I have yet to master towing and flying my sailplane at the same time.
