Finishing up the baffling today. I left the top half of the cowl open on this one. I have done this on the 40% M12 and had great success with a very cool DLE 222 engine.

Did you replace a 222 with the 180 or is it a different airframe?

Getting a start on my plane that will house this engine under the hood. From the reports I'm getting the power level this engine puts out basically flies a 40% bird with comparable authority to a 35% plane with a DA120http://www.GiantScaleNews.com/forums/images/smilies/200.gif So, why not make a custom plane built around this beastie!!!

Mine will be a 43.5% MXS / Viper Combo. 125" span and going to shoot for 38-39# RTF. I don't want a whole lot less because super light does not carry through slow stuff as well. After seeing Spat' plane haul out of a hover, 39# will be just crazy power. I'll post a few pics as I go if anyone is interested.

Very nice. I like the cardboard tubes. That will make for a very clean set up:way_to_go:

Yea, I found those on TNT landing gears site. I was pretty excite to see them so I ordered a half dozen. I've made my own from balsa, cardboard and other materials but these are lighter. I hate wires bouncing around in the back of the fuse!!
