Thanks! I've run Savox here and there in a couple other planes. Using them for a throttle servo on my DA120 and as an elevator servo in my race planes and they have performed well. This is the first plane with a full Savox install, except for the throttle and retract Servos. I was looking for a mid-range metal gear HV servo and JR doesn't really have anything like that. I also considered MKS but these seemed to fit the bill well and Savox seems to get good reviews. My big thing is centering and these appear to center well.

I sure hope I don't have to do anything to get the engine to fit. I'll probably buy a set of valve covers and shave them down if I need to. Especially the cylinder on the top. We'll see once I get everything installed.

Spent some time on the plane today, started getting ready to run the engine on the stand. I epoxied in the motor box into the fuse and then went to mount the exhaust ring which I expected to be a chore. I installed the adapters on the cylinders and then the ring went on pretty easily. I had to motivate it a little but no where near the wrestling match I thought I was in for. Then I went to bolt it to the test stand and found out it doesn't clear the flat mounting surface of the stand! I took the ring back off and I'm just going to break it in with the stock exhaust. Also started mocking up the tanks and throttle servo a little more. Dang it seems really difficult to make any serious progress on it.

After replacing my cowling, I too had to reduce one of my value covers so it didn't rub against the inside of the cowling.

Did you give it any thought about the location of the ignition system? Just to give you some ideas what I did.

Yep I plan on doing the same thing you did for the ignition. What did you use on the valve covers? I'm pretty sure I'll need to do the same. Bench grinder?

A bench top belt sander worked really good. Just make sure you remove a little at a time and don't go past the fins.

Well we had two lacrosse games an hour and a half from home today. After I got home I got some quality dremel time in! I sanded down the corners of the motorbox on the fuse to match the Keleo motorbox so it clears the exhaust ring. Then I copied Tom's ignition install, well kinda. I made a little tray so I could mount the ignition on foam rubber and then screwed the tray down to mount and it looks like it will work pretty well.

Well no work on the Corsair this weekend, weather was too nice and no kids sports were scheduled Saturday so I went flying. It was maybe 75 degrees and 5 mph winds, pretty nice day! Today was kids soccer.... I did hit the ignition tray with some flat black paint on Friday though.

Well, until just recently it was constantly raining here, then my friend distracted me and we both ended up buying a pair of Ultra Sport .46's. I know a slimer!!.. for some reason we both thought it would be fun to do some old school nitro flying. Since my time is pretty limited I haven't been working on the corsair. But the US is ready to maiden this weekend. The good news it's really motivated me to get going on the corsair again get it finished up.

Sooo that's what I've been up to.
