Very nicely done. Maybe I need to send a certain 330 cowl to you for a little surgery. :yesss:
You had better hold off for about another 3 hours at least just taped the two halves together and add the 1 inch of Fiberglas tape to the inside. Now it just waiting for a few hours to pass and hopefully I can separate the two. Waiting in angst, which we luck.

Nice job. I should do this on my larger planes, but I am way too lazy and have other things that need doing much more. Maybe this winter if we get snowed in. I hope it is a mild winter and I can fly more.

I have read some place that DA has 2 versions of the DA120 and the difference is in the carburetor but nobody knows what it is does anyone know what the difference is and what are the advantages one over the other. People keep bringing this but never elaborate on it or just don’t know ?

I see were you masked it inside :sneaky:......:yesss:.

Up to this point it has been going as planned but now it just a matter of time before I can try to split the halves from one another. I must say of all the steps to get to this point the hardest has been taping the two halves together. To get the two edges to lineup and taped together with no gapes took some doing.

Its not hard to do. Did it on the 33% Edge I stripped and recovered for a buddy in south boston.

Well it can apart it was not that easy had to do some prying and sliding a small 6 inch steel ruler in between but it came apart and looks pretty good. I will definitely do this again instead of trying to work with a one piece cowl.
