Damn I'm hungry
Headed out in a bit to the club field. Very windy so I think I'm just going to burn the burgers for todays meeting.
Normally winds 15-20 don't bother me that much but I think it's blowing a little harder. The hex-copter I got will fly in the wind if you want it to blow away
. Even though it is fairly big it is not very powerful. Best in winds of 5mph or less. I think I have fallen for these stupid things. Ordered a neat hex frame and HK new K2 flight controller. Going to power it up with six 2830 1000kv motors! should handle the wind

Well...........Yes it is . But I'm going to learn how to get some great vid with it of our beloved gassers
. I just don't know if it is worth getting 
over??? BTW.....At the field I was getting great compliments and heard comments such as "stay around my plane!"........what was that? Oh! "stay the f*** away from my plane!".

I tried the quad thing a few months ago. I just couldn't get into it. The technology is fascinating but the actual flying just wasn't for me. I tried a race quad thinking that might be more fun, but after about 10-15 flights I just wasn't enjoying it. I really need to sell that Immersion RC race quad and my FPV goggles.

I could not agree more about flying them........ But I am going to be a bad ass video guy one day! The "perspective" achieved in video is awesome. I have been practicing and can keep the camera positioned at my subject while flying around it 360 degrees multiple times in very calm weather. I need to build a powerful one though to combat the wind and can do it fairly inexpensively. I am just not ever going to flop out over a grand for one though.
