Are you going to register with the FAA? Cast Your Vote!

Well I bent over and registered friday. It really pissed me off while doing so, because the whole time the FAA site had a picture of a quad and said "register your drone". :very_angry: Also had a club meeting yesterday and yes we will be requiring rc pilots to be registered with the FAA before...

Group Build, 20cc Profile ARF, Who's In?

How does it just hang there like that? Why does it flip and flop around like that? Will it go in a straight line? How high will it go? It's got a thin body on it, does it go really fast? Why do the floppy things have so much angle to them? :banana-dance:

FAA Announces their rules for radio controlled aircraft

I'm not happy about this either but it says this in the fourth paragraph. "Registration is a statutory requirement that applies to all aircraft." Here is the link that I saw today. http://www.faa.gov/news/press_releases/news_story.cfm?newsId=19856&cid=TW378

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Put the maiden on a Flyzone Beaver today. Flys great. But I was nervous as hell about landing. I really didn't want to go swimming today. Took my time and greased the landing.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Looks great @pawnshopmike . Just my opinion though you might want to go with a little higher kv motor if running 4s. 800kv would be my minimum.

    Viton tubing

Because the only lines that really need to be flexible are the lines in the tank, plus with regular line from the tank to the carb you can see if it's getting fuel. And it's easy to replace if you really need to.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Went flying with CBarnes today and had a blast. Tore the top of the rudder off the EE50cc and put a maiden on a EF edge. .

    This works well too.

Filling gouges and scratches in balsa

Sticks ok. If needed I have heard of using hairspray to get a little tackier finish but haven't tried it.

Filling gouges and scratches in balsa

Hobbylite balsa filler or left over balsa sanding dust and wood glue.
