My little EDF
I was at EJets this past weekend. Decided that I would like to know how fast it is. Pretty much straight and level, it is 99 mph. Pretty good for a.6# chunk of foam. I knew I could get it over 100. Dalton 300 non MEL
Got the 157 AIS off and sold. Installing the 3W/JLE 164 on it currently. It is mounted. Just need a throttle arm and throttle set up. Now just to come up with another spinner... Buyer of the 157 wanted prop and spinner included. So, money talked! Im amped to run this 164. I cant...- Bunky.F.Knuckle

long long downlines!! what about fuel clunks in the tank???
Looks identical to a nitro heli with a header tank set up. Vent line from the header tank plumbs into the "feed" line on the main tank. You can use a simple 3rd line on the header tank to fuel the entire system. :)- Bunky.F.Knuckle

Had to cut out one of the prexisting pipe mounts just so that 1 of the TD 110s wouldnt rub thru. Not a huge deal, tho. There are lower access vents in the fuse, which made installing the 70mm can mounts a breeze. I forgot.. I made a choke linkage. Generally, I use a pull rod for the linkage...- Bunky.F.Knuckle

Ask those guys that you fly with (the nay sayers), if they have ever tried flying a 300 or 450 in 10 mph winds? Ask them how it handled it. The larger machines handle the wind much better. First Heli Flight In 29 Years
Welcome to the dark side!! 550 is a.good size for a beginner. I was flying 550s a long time back, well, early 2000s. Jumped from it to several 600 sized machines. Now I have just the lone 700. Stab mount screws
I doubt you would be able to get the proper torque on the thumb screw, vs a socket head screw. Nylon is a wonderful thing, but taking the hatch off my OMP 330SC, which has full plastic screws (6), it is stinking slow. A ball driver, a set of screws with bonded washers is a great...- Bunky.F.Knuckle
