    Looking at Jim's 30x13 Falcon CF for my 3W 164. I really think that this engine is gonna be a huge torque monster. And then add in the 30x13. WOW!! Who knows.... It may not work well, but it just might work like the cats meow!!

    Which is the main reason I went with the new DMSS JR system for this year (2014). I lost a brand new airplane on a maiden flight. Would dual packs helped this?? Sure would. Would a failsafe style switch have helped too? Damn skippy! But I still would not have known until I went to check...

    The blue N yellow one in this set of pics, 2nd and 4th rows??? If so, it's an AeroPlus 55M. My buddy has one with an old school heavy block 3W150. He put a Falcon 30x13 on it, and it actually has some go. And the airplane flys good too.

    Granted, but how many times has anyone heard of a battery issue with todays texhnology?? There are so many choices out there for batteries and systems. Everyone has the choice of what they like to run. I have never had an issue by running 2 packs into 1 Rx. Not in 14 yrs of GS flying...

    I'd go with it. If the surface meets the bevel before the servo reaches the cam over point, you'll be ok. Looks like the control horn will meet the stab before the bevels meet??

    I think they were wanting some type of redundancy? Which is a great thing! I've never had a brownout issue on A123's or even on 2S Lipo direct.

    Any unused port on the Rx can also be dubbed as a battery port. I would seriously reconsider the use of NiMH packs. Unless the owner likes charging. Minimum.I.would use is 2 1100mAh A123 packs. You can.run.the ignition.off those packs as well.

    Never have had the need for one. I have always used heavier engines. That way, I know I will have to shift a few things around for CG. I bet if you got your CG at 4.75" it would be ok for a maiden flight. A lighter airplane flies nice, but will get bounced around in wind moreso...

    Keep this in mind as well. It takes 3oz on the nose to correct 1oz on the tail.

    I never weighed my 157's. Don't have a scale to weigh them on. What sucks is, you may have to move the rudder servos FWD. Or pull them out and place 5 oz just under the pilot and see what the CG does. My firewall was drilled for both engines, DA/3W 150 and 3W 157/170. :) Or...
