Stick with what engines you know, Jim. I had a 61. It started easy, ran well. Guess it is luck of the draw. IMAC new to me dalton 260/300, just want to fly it!!!
It is like the meeting I had last nite with the Univ of Dayton about their Design, Build, Fly group. A group of college students, entering any engineering field. Scale Balsa USA Camel F1
I bought 3 B USA Bristol M1's many years ago. Dad and I sat down and built all 3 at the same time. 1 was powered with a Magnum 52, mine was powered with an OS 70, and dads had an old OS 90. DA 60 prop choice
Either one are great props. It is just which works best for your application. Id use the lower pitch on a Yak style airplane and the higher pitch on an Extra or Edge style. I liked the 9 pitch on my 91" Corvus. Never tried the 8......- Bunky.F.Knuckle

DA 60 prop choice
Falcon 24x9 CF. Hands down. The 24x8 wood props will actually rip. Friend of mine has a 24x8 on his 60, and it cracks the prop. It comes out of a hover real strong with the 8 pitch.- Bunky.F.Knuckle

Over thinking to the T. My SlipStream 30cc MX2 needed some nose weight on it, so instead of having multiple packs in the airframe, I opted for 1 FromeCo 5200 powering the entire airframe and ignition system. Stuck the pack inside the motor box area and flew it, still needed a touch more...- Bunky.F.Knuckle
