    I hate getting F'ed on a motor

I am most certainly no guru...."YET". But I do like that 3dub. A couple of times my friends have been at the field when I have taken the 260 out. Upon firing that girl up, I've heard the commments, "just listen to that". "Now "that"..."that" motor means business"! And it goes to say, they ain't...

    Prop bolts....what's the consensus?

Awesome information to have... With everything I have learned in the last few hours, I can feel much better for being a little bit better informed.

    Prop bolts....what's the consensus?

Well, that being said... I promptly went down to my local Tacoma Screw this afternoon. Not only did they have the nord-lock washers, but they also had the right length 12.9 hardness bolts to replace the ones I have been using. As it stands, Terry mentioned he likes to shoot for 3/4" of threads...

    I hate getting F'ed on a motor

As I understand it, Yes. apparently the ignition module wants to see a reference before it actually sends the spark. As I was informed, the module has to see the first magnet before the spark can be delivered by the second magnet. Or so I was told. All I know is, mine runs like a fine tooled...

    Prop bolts....what's the consensus?

I honestly had not heard of these... Nord-lock systems. So I of course went to the ole' trusty youtube. This is what I found. I'm sold. Although I've not experienced any issues of my bolts loosening on any of my motors and to that, I've heard of prop bolts shearing, props coming off, vibrating...

    Prop bolts....what's the consensus?

Hmmm!!!! Not questioning your knowledge a bit.... but just curious. How do you come up with the formula of thread depth? I had a Falcon 32x10  but due to my SUPIDITY I had to replace it and all I could find was a 32x11. The 157 turns it fine, but not like it turned the 32x10. So, I have a PT...

    GP Evo 176

Turns out I just happen to now have a Falcon 32x11. It is not the WIDE blade... Think that will matter much to this engine? I had heard fairly recently that the EVO 176 was the cause of two lost planes. Not too sure I like that report. But then again, I have read a butt load of lost plane...

    Prop bolts....what's the consensus?

Any of you every change your prop bolts? If so, any particular reason? Any particular time? Any particular amount of flights? Any particular hardness? Other than soft Chinese of course. I am speaking of course for other than obvious reasons. Threads iffy and such. Speaking of threads on prop...

    Hangar 9 3.1M Sukhoi

Yup....cables slide nice and easy through the tubes. We all know what it is like when we get a brand new toy, right? Ya just gotta play with it. This thing is pretty slick.... I can adjust as much or as little steering as I want without affecting the rudder. I think I am really going to like this.

Tail Wheel Steering, Springs vs Fuel Tubing or other setups

Always easier to take them up a notch than down, right? Not a bad set up...all in all.
