I am pleased to see that they’ve installed blind nuts and Allen bolts for the cowl. This is the first thing I always do myself that I don’t have to!

I’ve seen it where people paint the hubs black... I’m thinking it would look even better. The more I look at the gray hub the more I wish it were black! But yes, once the plane is dressed those wheels look awesome!!!

Might just keep it "Scale" If I had hub caps (which I do not) maybe then I'd go with a yellow or red. Black is easy to match too lol

DLE 55 mounted. The top laser cut template holes were a little narrow. Aimed for the outside of the square on the top holes when drilling. Square, and very close. But measure twice drill once!!
Drilled a pilot hole followed by a #9 drill bit.

Preparing to cut the cowl. Printer paper taped to the fuselage, press it up against the engine, marked, remove engine, Ca the engine mount holes for a little extra rigidity, tape the cowl up, and transfer the engine location with a sharpie.
Don’t want to wake up my wife, so grinding is for another time.

It does come with a plywood motor box and even some random standoffs. Say... I thought you were supposed to get one of these beauties by now???
