Cody,
I tried the 15x8 as well on the Torque motor but found only a slight reduction in current usage and felt a lot less responsive in the air compared to the 16x8.

Guess its what I'm used to as I run 16x8 in my edge and extra as well.

The new red/white/blue MXS is absolutely beautiful. It's more like a work of art.

Having said that, the yellow still kicks ass.

Schweet! Are you going to sell your 60" Edge?

Well, good question. I don't know the answer yet! I decided I would build this MXS with the same power system as I put in the Edge, so it is unique to me (meaning the ESC and motor would be of little value to anyone else). I'm putting 5245's in the MXS- the 7245's in the Edge are amazing but I can't justify the cost in 2 separate 60" airframes. I'll run the servos at 6V with a 2S/3S lipo through a CC BEC to the Rx. I think it will be a beast. The color scheme and quality is amazing. I even got a couple of pilot X's for my Edge and my new MXS.

How big is that monster in your avatar????

Nice work! Wish I started that young.

hey guys i'm having tail wheel issues. the tail wheel just sort of spins around independent of the rudder. anyone know of an easy fix. i tried flatspotting the rod like in the build video. should i get another tail wheel or any other fixes you guys know of. my least favorite parts of any airplane are the tail wheel, wheel pants and the spinner.... oh wait guess that's three ! :)

i did the flat spots on both sides with set screws on both sides. then i crimped it with channel locks with i tightened the set screws and added dap of CA in the very top. somewhere Doc Austin (Iirc) has that method posted that method. no problems after i crimped it.
