IMAC Carden Pro 124 Build, My Dream Plane

ROLLERMAN

70cc twin V2
Hello all, now that I have the two fuse sides almost completed I went back to the engine box to install the F2 formers, while I had that to the side, I worked on the hard points where the canopy bolts on the fuse. I am so pumped to work on it every night, I’m enjoying every minute of it.

Hey LOOK, The best sanding block EVER.

LOL!!! I tell ya, I was kinda skeptical about building again, but I'm so glad I am, loving every minute of it. I have been kidding around with Wayne Mathews, He named his Dalton THE BITCH, mine will be EL CHUPACABRA.

I'll be out working on it soon. I plant to locate and glue the wing and stab sockets tonight. Pictures tomorrow. If everything goes well I hope to be covering by the end of May.

Well, I did not get to glue the socket supports on, it was more like, how do I go about doing this without screwing something up. So, as you will see on the first picture the plans show an angle between F2 and the LE of the fuse sides, I want to get this done before gluing the stab and wing sockets. After staring at it and pondering about it for over an hour I came up with an idea on how to mark the fuse LE to have some kind of reference to be able to sand it. The pictures will do a better job explaining how I did it.

The last picture shows how it turn out.

I jumped the gun just a bit, just a few pics of the engine box set up on the table. It just so happens that the long 90 degree angle bar is exactly 1/8 thick so I used this for my offset since it does not have the 1/8 balsa sheet glued on it yet.
