Very interesting thread. Although I have done initial start up without wings on, and have noticed a lot more vibration...I really never gave it too much consideration. Just took it really easy on the throttle management. Now however, I do feel any undue stress and un-warranted wear and tear we can save our airframes from is not such a bad idea at all. From now on? Wings on when motor is running. No matter what rpm.
