The cowl is fitted with some self-tapping screws going into the side of the firewall. The kit comes with an air scoop for additional cooling on the cylinder head of a 1.20 glow engine. Normally it would sit on the lower left side of the cowl to be closer to the cylinder, but since I'm going electric, I decided to mount it on the bottom for a more symmetrical look. I will be baffling the cowl to direct air over the motor and ESC.

So this kit got set aside for a while as I got into high power rocketry. I eventually decided that I needed to finish this thing, so here's a shot of it, ready to fly. I figured I would attempt to fly it before putting much effort into a trim scheme. I had it at the field once, but when I plugged my rudder servos into the sBus receiver, they began freaking out. I had set up my servos using my floater receiver, which was not sBus, and didn't realize that deadband would be an issue. So I'll try again when I get the chance. The Velocity, even with a 6S5000 pack up front, required 24 ounces of nose weight to balance.
