I do the same on the white lithium grease. The only kind I have is spray can. Ill spray it out of the can onto a plate to let the aerosol and other crud get out of it then use a toothpick to smear onto gears.

I don't use the aerosol stuff.

I bought a big squeeze tube of it about 5 years ago from AutoZone. Think it was around 10 bucks. I've used it on servo gears and every Robart hinge I've ever installed and haven't used half of it yet.

The 1/8 aluminum tubing is just from the LHS. To bend it smoothly, just heat it over a burner on the range.

I've been too busy enjoying the honey my wife bought me for my birthday to get any work done on mine... and I'm thinking of changing engines too...
