I too have my FCC license (GROL) but am not into Amateur Radio.
An old friend of mine said that if you visited a club and brought a model airplane, members should always be happy to help and watch you fly your model. I love being "experienced" enough to be able to assist folks flying. . . "It brings joy to the heart of the giver"

I agree.... I have always enjoyed teaching others how to fly.... It is great fun and fulfilling!!

Drug out the 107" Edge today to fix some covering woes from yesterday.



Worked it for half an hour to get to this point. Good enough, the wing will cover most of it. Gotta love Chinakote.



Cut out all of the vent holes. This airplane will have mufflers instead of canisters.



Tightened up the rest of the covering. Goes a lot smoother once you're into the whole covering thing and are operating on autopilot. opcorn:

Ready for equipment.

Yup, green is my favorite color. Plus it just always seems to POP in the sky against the blue (not that I'm ever that high anyways).

What are putting under the hood Xpress?

The plan is for a DA120. Part of me wants to go with a GP123 but the lack of customer support Stateside has me put off. I was looking at a ZDZ112 as well but I really don't want to have to fit a choke servo in the airplane.

So what did it look like before?
