Ok all you work shop doers.......Question........Can I carefully heat up this EPP foam stuff to get warps and uneven surfaces straight?

EPP or EPO? Typically EPO can be re-molded using the 'Elapor soup' method but EPP is a bit tougher and usually you just need to bend it the opposite way.

Recovered my wing tonight. Ultracote true red wasn't a perfect match if you look directly at it (or maybe it is and it's just the layers of red that throw it off? ).

Either way I'm happy with how it looks. Plus in the air, the only thing that matters is the skill

The "Turbo" spinner showed up at me door............... ran it to check its awesomeness and discovered the bearings in the new motor have gone south ...........Guess my CHEAP HK plane has got some more shop time .........Did I mention this plane is NOT cheap at all!?..........


Yep every thing smooth as silk until 8k rpm then it shakes like a vibrator. I can move the shaft up and down as if no bearings at all???.......I wonder if the stator bearing housings have cracked ??? will know soon enough but my zeal for electric is going crapola real fast . All these issues are just a bunch of frogs on the lily pads in my lake of pain .

Soup? Well it's like this. Get yersef a big boiling pot. Stoke a big ole fire 'neeth it. Insert cheap foaming into pot. Bring to a brisk boil. Wa-laa...R/C Airplane Soup. Not to be confused with alphabet cheeseburger soup.

You should have seen my Trex550e shake when this happened.

No big projects for me as I'm getting geared up to go flying tomorrow. I did do a few decal placements though. The Sukhoi was a little naked with only a 3w here and there. So a little Fromeco to go.

I decided to put the skull on the Beast Yak.

Need some guidance on my Viper build. Just about to glue the clear canopy on to the plane. See some people are fiberglasing the front beck with 1/2 oz glass and epoxy is this just so that it can be painted, or is there some other reason.
