The paint on my 2008 Honda Fit has been fading out for the last 2 or 3 years. It use to be bright red. But about half the car was closer to pink since it started fading. So I've been toying with the idea of buying a new ride for about the last 6 months. The thing is, my Fit only has 69,000 miles on it and it runs and drives like new still. @Decal Dennis and my brother-in-law Mike (who's also in the sign biz) have been trying to talk me into wrapping it for a while now. Since I decided to keep it for a while ,I decided to take them up on it.

So, Dennis ordered me a roll of Avery Matte Gunmetal Metallic Wrap Vinyl. And my brother-in-law wrapped it this weekend. I helped out best I could using all the skills Dennis has taught me over the years. Spent 12 hours on it Saturday and about 10 hours on it today. We only stopped long enough for a couple sandwiches and beers a couple times.

Looks much better now!

I also picked up a Thule Roof Rack. I got it installed this evening.

Next up is a Thule Canyon XT Cargo Basket. That will be great for hauling gear to the field.

I pretended to work on my Viper again. I cut a couple alum mount brackets for my motor and then put the plane on its tail so I could try to lineup the engine with the cowl. I need 1 inch standoffs still so I ordered some PSPmfg ones. I also HATE, HATE BME engines because they refused to conform to standard prop hub sizes. So now I need to build a spinner backplate jig so I can ensure its all centered before bolt holes are drilled.

I'm going to drill/tap out the prop hub so its the same as 3W/DA prop bolts. Not much I can do about the hub though, I have to drill out a prop and a spinner backplate to fit it. Remember the final home of this engine is my FW190....I'm using the viper as a test bird for this motor until I can afford a 3W110 or the likes.

Thanks guys.:way_to_go:

What temperature did you set your covering iron to or did you just use a heat gun?.

That turned out Awesome! Mike . I used to have a 92 Ford Ranger that had like a gazillion miles on it but ran so darn good. I would have kept it if I knew this could be done.
