Spats

100cc
I was helping Tavis that night and standing to the left of Jase and John, next to Tavis. My stomach just fell when I saw that happen. Only Jase can tell you what really happened but here is what I can tell you. There was no wind that night and the smoke was just hanging thick. The planes seem to show up really good on the video but standing there was completely different. I was tell Tavis where Jase was and we could barely see the planes being up close to the smoke. It may be that Jase had a hard time as well cause that is not like him at all. It was kind of surreal as I watched him, he had lots of power on but the plane looked like it just kept sinking until the rudder clipped the ground and sucked him down. Up until then it was one of the most awesome night flight display I had ever seen.

Yeah, I was standing right there as well and I think Spats has the story correct. If he had saved an inch or so higher, he may have pushed through it in epic fashion. We all know Jase's flying is truly exceptional and we are very sorry he lost a plane he loved. And, we thank him for all the exciting flights he's let us enjoy at this past Nall and year's prior. My first Nall he was flying the 110" Yak at night and he was killing it. Thanks to Jase for a ton of epic flights :way_to_go:
