Please let me know if he finds something, I would really like to fly this plane someday.
Spoke to him last night about the cowl. I don’t think he is going to do anything, he is annoyed about the hole thing. He has sanded and painted the cowl several times. I think it is going to be mounted as is and most likely be painted at a later date when some time has passed and the colour differences starts to bother him, or forgets how much work he has put into the cowl with little success.

This is what happens when your project is almost done and waiting for the weather to get warmer you start looking for things to do. So decided to make some thumb screws for the canopy this will be handy do not need a wrench to open the canopy.

I have been a printing pressman for 40 years. I always had to mix ink to exactly match the product.
Nice to know so do you work with litho plat or also known lithograph graph. Very interesting work. So i we be will asking for your support in the future if that is ok. Thanks.

Why are you not flying it, it looks done and ready to go.
Just like your friend, sanded and painted the cowl and canopy too many times. Considered recovering the plane so that I could match the colors. I have two 38% One Designs, one designed by Bob Godfrey, and this one was designed by Frank Knoll. Would like to get them both to the field for a fun fly one day.

Made a start on painting the cowl did not go as planned but see what I have in couple of days when it is dry and wet sanded hopefully it is ok. Two cans of paint I had were different colours and the second can went bad haft way through. So had to open the can and use what was left in the rattle can but did not have quite enough to finish.
Hope it looks better when it is sanded and clear coated.
