I would just like to thank all you guys for for your support and assistance during the build, I enjoyed it and also thanks to all the people that helped with some of the decisions and which way to solve problems. It is almost done just parts have to arrive and painting. Then setup the radio.
Will show some pictures of the radio installation and the interior of the plane and the finished cowl.

Spent the day getting the brad new DA100 ready for the test stand. Got the exhaust flanges lapped and ready for assembly and found out that my red rtv was hard and useless. So with lockdown I am stuck, will have to find out how I can get some, going to try the copper based high temp rtv this time.
Some good news my wing tube showed up today great.
Ok test stands I use them all the time but not to break in motors. Seen too many ruined. Don’t get me wrong it can be done. Run the motor on the stand just long enough to get the idle set and that the motor transitions properly and that it is not running lean that’s it. It goes onto the plane to get broken in in the air. Much more enjoyable to fly around in the air gently for an hour than sit around for an hour watching an engine run on the ground. That’s just me.

I use the copper based RTV for the exhaust flanges all the time. Don't have a stand, just mount the engine in the plane and set it up in the back yard. Neighbors just love it!
Would you also use the copper stuff on the dolts. Or stick with red locktite.

The engine is on the test stand ready to be run. Just have to get the mixture screws close and that the engine holds an idle. Also make sure it is not set lean and it will be ready for plane. Now it just waiting for better weather.

That's a 100L? I had thought that the DA 100's had the plugs in the middle of the cylinder head, I guess they moved the location for the L version?
How much weight do you put on the stand?
